Comar has grown out of a lifelong love of dogs, and a passion for sighthounds and the elegant movement and power of a sighthound on the field. 

Chris has spent the last decade presenting many dogs to the fancy, often with great success. Comar bred and co-owned dogs boast a total of 10 Best in Show awards, many Reserve Best in Show awards, and many group placements throughout Canada and the United States.

Comar is proud to boast its six member (and growing!) club of Comar bred Therapy and Medical Service dogs… Chris breeds carefully for a temperament that is appropriate for working dogs and while a whippet or greyhound is not right for every situation they have proven to be effective assistance to many. 

Chris is a proud member of the National Whippet Club of Canada as well as the Canadian Kennel Club. Chris actively participates in conformation and lure coursing with his Whippets while others in his breeding program have gone on to earn therapy dog titles, scent dog titles, and barn hunt titles!

We are proud that all of our dogs are health tested to OFA CHIC standards and each of our puppies is tested to OFA standards before it leaves Comar for its’ forever home.
