I truly believe that Whippets are one of the best kept secrets in the dog world – they are great all-around dogs that are enthusiastic about play, exercise, and snuggles. Originally bred to race, hunt rabbit, and keep their masters warm in bed on cold nights, the Whippet is a wonderful creature to live with. Our Whippets all have Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) Cardiac NORMAL and OFA Companion Animal Eye Registry (CAER) Eye NORMAL clearances.

Great care and effort is put into each puppy bearing the Comar prefix – we work hard to create Whippets that are sane, safe, sound, and biddable. In addition to breeding purposefully for temperaments that compliment family life all Comar puppies undergo extensive Early Neurological Stimulation along with exposure protocols that begin at 2 weeks and continue through their departure at 11-12 weeks old. 

Through a process of trial and error that lasted five years we have established a reliable potty training protocol that really helps to smooth the transition home, along with guidance on how to continue this training and how to manage accidents and unwanted behaviour. All of our puppies begin crate training at 5 weeks old and by the time they depart they are usually quite content in their crates… you must keep this up! Do not be deceived by a manipulative puppy… crate training saves lives in an emergency situation!
