Welcome to Comar Reg’d. We are a small kennel located in Haliburton Ontario run by Chris O’Mara and a small team of helpers. Chris is especially proud of having bred River who was ranked the #1 Whippet in Canada for 2023!

Comar Reg’d

We are a home based kennel that breeds a few times a year,
and produce Whippets that excel in both conformation
and performance sports. Our dogs are actively involved
in obedience, sprinter, lure coursing, conformation, and
dock diving.

Our Breed

The whippet is a medium sized high energy sighthound. Originally from Northern England the whippets’ origin is that of a poachers dog. Bred to hunt rabbit and race the Whippet has quickly become a fan favourite in many dog sports and activities — dock diving, therapy work, agility, flyball, lure coursing, and of course as a family pet!

Our Dogs

Located in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands our dogs are actively exercised in the great outdoors! Hiking, running, and swimming… Whippets can do it all!
